WP1320

Wave-Particle Interaction

Low frequency e.m. waves (from 1 mHz to hundreds of Hz, until ~10kHz) play a key role in the magnetospheric dynamics. The WP1320 analyses data from both magnetospheric and ionospheric satellites (CSES, NOAA, THEMIS, Cluster, Van Allen probes, Swarm, etc.) for different geomagnetic conditions to identify the magnetospheric waves, diffusion coefficients and possible particle precipitation in order to better understand the mechanisms of the magnetospheric particle acceleration.

ULF wave (1.67 mHz) detection at Swarm during June 23, 2020 using FIF algorithm.
