WP1120

The Chromosphere

The WP 1120-chromosphere investigates the connection between the features in the solar chromosphere and the occurrence of the main SWE drivers: It performs:

– evaluation of the level of magnetic activity through the characterization of chromospheric features (faculae, filaments, prominences);

– detection of signatures of flare occurrence (filaments destabilization and rise, bright ribbons, kernels, Hα post-flare loops, chromospheric evaporation);

– complementary study for the determination of the structuring of the active region’s magnetic field;

– comparison between the derived facular, filament and prominences properties with the magnetic field configuration in photosphere and with coronal features prior and after flare occurrence.
