As highlighted in the recent ASI Space Weather (SW) Roadmap, there is an urgent need to reinforce the interactions and synergies among the SW Italian groups, and organize them in a strong and collaborative environment. CAESAR has the ambition to rally the SW Italian community and tackle all the relevant aspects of SW science in a comprehensive and integrated approach, encompassing the whole chain of phenomena from the Sun to the Earth up to planetary environments.
CAESAR aims to: 1) advance the understanding of the origin and evolution of SW
phenomena; 2) provide novel and long-standing data, codes and models to populate the ASPIS prototype; 3) pave the way to future SW forecasting capabilities; 4) design the architecture and realize the ASPIS prototype with a FAIR-data, flexible and user-friendly infrastructure to ensure efficient dissemination and foster future SW studies.
